Companies are accelerating their digital business transformations to serve clients and employees in new settings. We hear of dozens of scenarios and hundreds of different ways to describe them. This research offers a simple way to nest activities and metrics so that each contribution rolls up to a common business objective. To improve the alignment between departments and create clarity among stakeholders, technology vendors, and service providers, we propose a taxonomy of common transformation scenarios together with the objectives and key results (OKRs) behind them. With simple language and metrics, you can help the mutual understanding of each party’s goals and contributions.
