Stakeholder buy-in depends on the value perceived and received from the activities of the sourcing and vendor management organization (SVMO). SVM professionals have to engage with business executives to turn their expectations into valued deliverables. Clearly understanding business expectations will enable the SVM professional to build and run an SVM organization that constantly delivers value, is trusted by the business stakeholders, and matches the business' needs with suppliers' delivery capabilities.
SVMOs can and should capture their value to IT and the business with metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs). SVMO's visibility will increase internally and externally if these metrics are leveraged properly, as business and IT value are highly contextual. Each SVMO will need to justify its performance differently, and therefore must choose those metrics that are relevant, practical, and demonstrate bang-for-your-buck value.
This webinar addresses how companies today get insights into the definition of value from the stakeholder's perspective and how to demonstrate the value by building meaningful performance measures and turn results in targeted value communications.
