BNPL Awareness And Adoption Has Skyrocketed In The Past Three Years

According to Forrester Analytics Consumer Technographics® North American Financial Services Benchmark Recontact Survey, 2019, just 2% of US online adults were familiar with “buy now, pay later” (BNPL) leaders Afterpay, Affirm, or Klarna. The same year, the Consumer Technographics Online Benchmark Survey (Part 1), 2019 showed 1% of US online adults had used one of these methods to pay for products or services in the past three months. Fast forward to 2021, and Forrester Analytics Consumer Technographics Benchmark Survey, 2021 shows that 9% of US online adults have used one of these services to make a purchase in the past three months.
