With compliance deadlines approaching in Europe and other key markets, the digital product passport (DPP) is set to become part of many organizations’ supply chain, emissions reporting, and circularity initiatives. DPPs will be required for specific products sold in the EU from early 2027, such as EV batteries and some clothing; more products and jurisdictions will follow. This report introduces the DPP, discusses the current state of DPP readiness, and demonstrates how smart organizations use their necessary investment in systems that support legal compliance to also offer richer and more engaging product experiences to partners, customers, and prospects.
