This report uses data from Forrester’s Security Survey, 2024 to provide global benchmarks on ransomware breaches in four industries: 1) business services, transportation, and construction; 2) regulated industries (financial services, public sector, education, and health); 3) production, manufacturing, utilities, and telecommunications; and 4) retail, wholesale, entertainment, leisure, and hospitality. Included are benchmarks on the number of ransomware breaches, the average cost of breaches, and the mean time to complete the incident response lifecycle.
