Proactive IT executives are extending their mobility strategies beyond deploying and managing mobile devices and platforms with primarily corporate email access to include a wide range of mobile applications and content. A comprehensive mobile application management strategy evolves over time to include five core components: 1) application governance; 2) architecture design; 3) application discovery and distribution; 4) support and management; and 5) protection. Infrastructure and operations (I&O) and security and risk (S&R) execs must develop their corporate mobile application management strategy, processes, and technology to address current and future corporate mobile application management initiatives.
