In 2013, infrastructure and operations (I&O) professionals saw increased mobility and diversity in the technology that employees could use for their jobs get thrust into the forefront. In 2014, I&O professionals have an opportunity to continue to capitalize on these trends and take the next step to help their companies better serve customers with computing technologies. In this report, we offer predictions on how six trends in computing will evolve in the next year. Whether it's designing a mobility strategy, learning about the nascent category of wearables, or helping design innovative retail strategies, I&O has an opportunity to be a leader in customer-facing technology deployments.
