A PandemicEX Survey October Update: French Employees Doubt That Their Firms Will Use The Crisis To Explore New Business Models Or Launch New Products

Summary

Technology, marketing, and employee experience leaders with employees in France should use this third installment of Forrester’s European PandemicEX Survey — fielded in October in France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and the UK — to understand how their French employees are experiencing the pandemic’s impacts now versus in March and in May. French employees are the least likely in Europe to think that their companies will take the opportunity afforded by the crisis to improve; just 32% of French employees think that their firm will explore new business models, while 60% of Italian employees think their company will do so. In October, just 16% of French workers say they’re having trouble managing their family/childcare responsibilities while working from home, a big drop from 31% in March. French employees are the least likely in Europe to trust COVID-19 communications from the French government or to be comfortable with the government collecting their personal data via a track-and-trace app. French workers are skeptical that their employers will use this crisis as a catalyst for needed transformation.
