To fully reap the benefits of open source software (OSS), organizations must do more than adopt software components on a per-project basis. OSS has become critical to cost-effectively increasing operational agility and accelerating digital initiatives in highly competitive markets like China. This report analyzes OSS adoption trends and drivers in China; enterprise architecture (EA) pros at organizations operating in China can use these insights to optimize their open source initiatives and better understand the open source strategies of Chinese vendors.
