Can AI be trusted? With the advent and adoption of generative AI (genAI), this question is capturing consumers’ curiosity and some are increasingly skeptical about it. The more familiar consumers become with AI, the more they trust it; however, skepticism still abounds. Institutions both large and small have work to do to increase trust, although younger consumers are more likely to trust them to mitigate the potential risks of AI. This report uses data and insights from Forrester’s Global Government, Society, And Trust Survey, 2025, to analyze the state of consumers’ trust in AI in six European countries: France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Sweden, and the UK.
