Create Agile Processes For Introducing Emerging Technology

With its careful approach to planning technology investments and general aversion to risk, IT is not meeting business demands for emerging technology as a driver for innovation and growth. Enterprise architects lead the effort to identify and adopt emerging technologies at many firms, but they lack a process for consistently planning the right investments. This report introduces Forrester's Agile technology introduction framework (ATIF) as our recommendation to help enterprise architecture (EA) professionals rebalance their approach from one that's heavily concentrated on technology stewardship toward one that also enables agility and speed for emerging technology introduction.
