In 2023, approximately 68% of global digital business and strategy decision-makers plan to increase their investment in tech maintenance and updates — while 71% say the same for tech implementations and integrations. These investment plans indicate that digital leaders are allocating budget on new tech while they also maintain existing systems. The budget plans may seem counterintuitive in a tech market that’s moving so quickly toward modern architecture and solutions, but legacy systems are still the base on which firms operate. This is a snapshot of Forrester’s Digital Business Strategy Survey data on digital leaders’ expected spend for tech budgets.
