European technology spending in 2025 will grow 5%, up from 4.4% growth in 2024, to reach €1.4 trillion. Software and IT services will capture three-quarters of European tech spending in 2025, up from 68% in 2016, as enterprises spend more on cloud, security, generative AI (genAI), and the digital economy. More than 40% of European tech spend comes from sectors in financial services, government, and media and information. The report forecasts European tech spend from 2024 to 2029 by country and category and breaks out spend by industry for 2024.
