Executive Spotlight: Top Priorities For IT Infrastructure & Operations Leaders, 2H 2011

Every six months, Forrester fields a survey to members of its IT Infrastructure & Operations (I&O) Council to ascertain their top priorities for the following six months. Forrester's I&O Council consists of the senior-most infrastructure and operations executives at organizations with $1 billion or more in revenue. We field this survey to understand their top priorities and to fine-tune our future research agenda and activities. For the second half of 2011, our I&O Council members identify their top five challenges as the following: Supporting the consumerization of IT, using cloud computing, end-to-end monitoring, planning and managing IT capacity for business demand, and implementing service catalogs. In this Executive Spotlight, we define the business value that I&O executives can realize by tackling each of these priorities and outline our recommended next steps for each.
