Each analyst has a natural influence level for a vendor — a degree to which the analyst productively influences the market in some way that brings the vendor benefit. For many vendors, this is the full extent of analyst influence, although it’s difficult to quantify, leaving analyst relations (AR) bereft of influence metrics.
