Luxury sales reached $267 billion in 2015 and will see a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 2.8% over the next five years. More than half of this growth will come from Asia Pacific. China is the largest consumer market for luxury goods, responsible for 30% of the global spend. Increases in disposable incomes and international travel drive growth in luxury spend in Asia. Although only 7% of luxury sales happened online in 2015, over the next five years, online sales will more than double to reach $39 billion by 2021. This report analyzes consumer luxury spend, supply, and online sales across 18 countries and looks at the regional flows of luxury goods across borders.
