Retailers are obsessed with personalization to create more relevant experiences for — and “stickier” relationships with — their customers. Opt-in personalization, the ability for customers to easily access and control their privacy and notifications settings under “My Account,” is particularly important. We looked at 10 of the top US retailers, including Amazon, Best Buy, Starbucks, and Walmart, across different categories to evaluate best practices for “My Account” sections. The accompanying PDF file provides examples of those best practices.
