The rapid deployment of AI agents in business is driving a shift from agentish to fully agentic systems, with increasing control, agency, and complex actions. While this evolution is promising, a critical question emerges: How can businesses develop trust in autonomous and self-optimizing systems? Through extensive interviews with enterprises and vendors across digital process automation (DPA), robotic process automation (RPA), portfolio management, and emerging agent platforms, this report identifies five key priorities for fostering agent trust and reveals the varying emphases placed on them by vendors, ultimately guiding enterprises to address these trust issues.
