Attractive products and services ensure competitive differentiation and business growth, but organizations often fail to recognize the potential value of inward-focused operational innovation. This might be due to a tendency to measure innovation-related roles against their contribution to product and service innovation only or the challenge of adequately measuring the value-add of company-internal innovations.
