The COVID-19 pandemic has created fertile ground for automation adoption. Our automation paradigms are fragmented, however, and need a rethink as we move ahead. By 2024, today’s diverse automation options will co-evolve and converge into features within existing ISV suites or into broad platforms that combine digital workers and event-based and integration-centric orchestration. Use cases will widen and deepen to include greater leverage of AI and to extend into the real world through integration of physical robotics endpoints into business processes.
