This role profile provides a job description and competencies for the content engineer role. The content engineer is a hands-on technical expert who uses audience needs, business goals, and design requirements as inputs to develop content models, taxonomy/metadata, scripts, code, and integrations that will generate the desired outputs and outcomes. Content engineers typically work with a multidisciplinary team of content strategists, information architects, content managers, designers, and developers to devise scalable solutions for complex content requirements and projects.
