Emerging technology research and evaluation is an active collaboration where digital leaders, lines of business, function heads, and tech executives mutually inspire each other and jointly create innovation opportunities. Given the importance of technology to digital business outcomes, digital leaders may be responsible for this program. But if another exec is responsible for the overall emerging tech research and innovation program, digital leaders will be the initiative’s sponsor.
