The Majority Of “Buy Now, Pay Later” (BNPL) Users Are Millennials And Gen Z Consumers

According to recent data from Forrester, 11% of US online adults in the Gen Z age group and 18% of Millennials have used either Affirm, Afterpay, Klarna, or Pay in 4 (with PayPal) in the past three months to make a purchase. In comparison, usage by Gen X, Baby Boomers, and the Silent Generation is much lower, at 9%, 3%, and 1%, respectively. This report provides a snapshot of Forrester’s data on the adoption of “buy now, pay later” (BNPL) solutions across generations.
