Summary

Among US online adults who use “buy now, pay later” (BNPL), 18% of those with “fair” credit scores and 16% of those with “poor” credit have used either Affirm, Afterpay, Klarna, or Pay in 4 (with PayPal) in the past three months to make a purchase. Among US consumers with higher credit scores, use of these services is lower: only 6% of US online adults with an “excellent” credit score have used BNPL in the last three months to make a purchase. This report provides a snapshot of Forrester’s data on the adoption of “buy now, pay later” (BNPL) solutions across credit score ratings.
