Since its widespread launch in late 2022, generative AI (genAI) has prompted retailers to completely reimagine how they leverage their commerce technologies. As part of our research series to better understand genAI’s role in commerce tech solutions, we asked notable point-of-service (POS) vendors to share how they’re bringing genAI into their products today. This report summarizes the most common use cases from our review of 18 POS vendors’ genAI plans.
