Enterprises need to build a future fit environment that enables critical processes to be adaptive, creative, and resilient. When faced with improving a process, technology leaders must choose among four platforms: traditional digital process automation (DPA), embedded process support, intelligent automation and robotic process automation (IA/RPA), and emerging AI-led. These platforms have evolved from different roots and, as a result, have distinct strengths and weaknesses. In this report, we compare the platform options and offer a downloadable tool to provide direction for tech leaders.
