Virtual care deployments have increased dramatically due to the pandemic and are expected to continue as a key modality. It’s imperative that security remain front and center in virtual care to protect patient privacy and sensitive data. We provide 10 recommendations to help S&R pros understand the critical criteria and considerations when selecting and deploying virtual care technologies. In this report, we discuss the security, privacy, and regulatory implications of deploying virtual care and compare several treatment models and their associated risks.
