The Forrester retail team’s recent survey revealed the shopping behaviors of 504 US online consumers during what was likely their first full week of adhering to social distancing.
As of March 19, 2020, US consumers are still spending, both in-store and online, with nearly half of consumers reporting that they have not changed their buying habits as a result of COVID-19.
The grocery sector is the only retail category that is seeing significant growth right now as consumers flock to supermarkets to stock up on essential products.
