Sixty-seven percent of US online adults continue to engage in social distancing and mask-wearing in public, but 55% are now usually buying all or most of their groceries in person. By contrast, just 30% say they buy all or most of their groceries online. In fact, 16% of US online adults report habitually buying all of their groceries online. By comparison, just 13% of UK online adults and 7% of French online adults say they shop for groceries exclusively online. Among US, UK, and French online adults, grocery is the retail category that the most consumers report shopping more for in the beginning of 2022 than they did at the beginning of 2021.
