Rob Hill

Associate CIO for User & Network Services, Internal Revenue Service

Rob (Robert) Hill is the Associate Chief Information Officer, User & Network Services, Internal Revenue Service. In this position, he is responsible for supporting the management, logistics and provisioning for all end user equipment and peripherals, Contact Center and Enterprise Service Desk support, customer/business relationship management, IRS communication tools, and the IRS Network.

Rob previously served as the Director, Customer Service, in the Applications Development (AD) ACIO organization within the IT Division. In this role, he was responsible for systems technology solutions that enable service with internal and external customers, including services and support for customer service business operations such as telephone, voice-over internet protocol, and customer account systems. Many of the applications within Customer Service have direct impact and interface with taxpayers, such as “Where’s My Refund”, “Get My Payment”, and “Online Account” to name just a few.

Before the IRS, Rob worked in FEMA, the Department of Defense, and the United States Air Force.

Rob holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Wayland Baptist University in Occupational Education. He and his wife live in a small-town north of Dallas Texas and have five children and four grandchildren. Rob enjoys spending time with his family, RVing, riding around town in his golf cart, and writing fiction novels and drawing.
