Across verticals, enterprises use a variety of internet-of-things (IoT) enabled processes to transform their end-to-end supply chain operations. IoT simplifies, enriches, and adds value to long-established processes in supply chain management, inventory and warehouse management, fleet management, track-and-trace, and cold chain monitoring. Complex supply chain systems are often too complicated to modernize all at once. Instead, most firms use IoT to address specific gaps and issues. This report identifies areas where IoT solutions deliver value and outlines the approach that technologists should take in deploying IoT more broadly throughout their supply chain.
