Technologies under the internet-of-things (IoT) umbrella are diverse, misunderstood — and now growing rapidly. In late 2019, we predicted how the coming year would unfold for IoT innovations. We missed on some, thanks to the unforeseeable impact of COVID-19, but we got some right, and all of our miscalculations are merely delayed. This report offers infrastructure and operations (I&O) professionals a candid analysis of our 2020 IoT predictions and some insights into how they’ll continue to play out.
