Enterprise process automation leaders face complexity in selecting from the overlapping capabilities of robotic process automation (RPA), digital process automation (DPA), integration platform as a service (iPaaS), low-code applications built for process automation, and emerging AI-driven platforms. Similar agentic roadmaps, converging low-code capabilities, and native orchestration layers make distinguishing among them difficult. Confusion will be temporary. This report predicts the emergence of a new market category — adaptive process orchestration — combining integration, process application development, and management support to build AI agents and achieve autonomous business goals.
