Summary

Industry and pandemic forces accelerated consumers’ awareness, use, and expectations of quick response (QR) codes. In Forrester’s August 2021 Consumer Energy Index And Retail Pulse Survey, 56% of US online adults reported using QR codes. Brands that incorporate QR codes into their physical and digital experiences must start by following QR code basics. They may be free to create but require effort (time, budget, and staff) to run campaigns and maintain content to support them effectively.
