Caleb Schmidt is a design executive with more than two decades of experience leading large‑scale teams to deliver meaningful, human‑centered experiences at enterprise scale. As Senior Vice President and Head of Experience Design, he leads design across U.S. Bank’s Consumer, Business, Commercial, Corporate & Institutional, and Wealth lines of business—shaping how strategy, design, and delivery come together across a complex, multi‑platform ecosystem.
Caleb’s leadership is grounded in connecting strategy, research, and data to experience outcomes that matter for both customers and the enterprise. He is known for building and aligning collaborative, high‑performing teams, navigating organizational complexity, and driving clarity from ambiguity. A skilled and influential communicator, he operates as an executive leader who shapes direction, informs decision‑making, and helps move the organization forward with confidence.
Before joining U.S. Bank, Caleb spent eight years at USAA, where he led design for the banking division and played a key leadership role in defining and driving an enterprise‑wide brand evolution. Earlier in his career, he worked in agency environments delivering brand and digital experiences for Fortune 500 companies across energy, automotive, manufacturing, and technology. He holds degrees in digital media, communications, and business.
