Derek Tedder

Executive: CX Strategy and Journey Management, Nedbank Retail and Business Banking

Derek is the Executive for CX Strategy and Journey Management for Retail and Business Banking, where his primary responsibilities include shaping the CX strategy alongside the Group Strategy and ensuring the sustainable implementation of end-to-end Journey Management.

Derek has a Masters degree in Commerce, and has attended various executive development programmes at Wits University, London Business School, Duke University, and INSEAD Business School. He is a CXPA member with a CCXP accreditation.

Derek has over 20 years of banking experience having started his career in Corporate Investment Banking. He was Head of Liquidity Management for Standard Bank before he joined Nedbank Consumer Banking as Head of Transactional, Forex & Investments products in 2011. He found his passion for client experience when Nedbank began its transformational programme to upgrade its legacy IT systems and he drove a client led approach to direct design and development alongside a service excellence programme to embed a client focused culture.
