Graeme Beardsell

Executive Vice President and Chief Executive Officer , Fujitsu Asia Pacific

Since joining Fujitsu in November 2020, Graeme has created a transformation agenda where business growth is conducted through the lens of purpose. Under Graeme’s leadership, Fujitsu continues to find ways to improve inclusion in our operations and supply chain. This includes mandating gender-pay equity and setting targets for gender composition among senior leaders. Fujitsu is also driving initiatives for First Nations inclusion, including our program with the Cherbourg Aboriginal Shire Council to help launch Cherbourg Digital Service Centre to boost the economic development of Queensland First Nations communities through digital skills training and employment opportunities. 

Graeme joined Fujitsu from Akamai, where he led the business across 15 countries in Asia Pacific for 6 years. As Managing Director for Asia Pacific and Japan at Akamai, Graeme grew the business more than three-fold, doubled the customer base and drove strategies for significant regional investment and people development. He was a member of Akamai’s global leadership team and a Board Member of the Akamai Foundation. 

Before joining Akamai, Graeme was Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Asia Pacific at Experian for 4 years. Prior to that, Graeme brought Salesforce.com to 7 Asian countries and grew the business ten-fold in 4 years. He also worked for IBM for 15 years, with his last role being the Vice President in IBM Global Services, Asia Pacific.  

Graeme holds a Bachelor of Business Management and Economics degree from the Melbourne University of Technology in Australia. He has also completed executive management courses at North Western University, Boston University, INSEAD and Harvard Business School, and holds a membership in the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
