Hood Qaim-Maqami

Head of Shared Services & Technology, BNY Mellon

As Head of Shared Services and Technology at BNY Mellon, Hood Qaim-Maqami oversees the continued investment in technology to transform the Bank’s client digital platform and digitize front-to-back process innovation. He presides over the bank’s automation agenda – fostering closer relationships between technology and operations and improving client service and engagement – while strengthening the firm’s overall resiliency and risk culture.  He serves as head of India Operations and Technology, driving a culture grounded in continuous learning, cross-functional collaboration, and business capability-focused agile delivery.

Prior to joining BNY Mellon, Hood was a Managing Director in Wealth Management at JP Morgan Chase. Prior to JPMC, he held senior technology roles at Bank of America, Barclays Capital, and Lehman Brothers.  His work spans technology execution, product development, and business strategy – incorporating emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, robotic process automation, and mobile platforms to help organizations advance their technology sophistication.

Hood is based in New Jersey and holds a Bachelor’s degree in History from the University of Pennsylvania and a Master’s degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
