Executive Director, End User Operations, U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs

Mr. VanBemmel currently serves as the Executive Director End User
Operations where he oversees the daily operations for all end user services,
maintenance, and security across the VA enterprise. He previously served
as the Civilian Deputy for the Services Executive at the Defense Information
Systems Agency (DISA) and he served as Chief of Future Operations at
DISA’s Command Center. He has served as a government civilian in a
variety of roles including as the Director, Defense Cyber Crime Center (DC3)
Defense Industrial Base (DOD-DIB) Collaborative Information Sharing
Environment (DCISE); Director, US Army Signal Network Enterprise Center
at Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG).

Mr. VanBemmel deployed for a year with the Civilian Expeditionary Workforce (CEW) for the NATO
Training Mission Afghanistan (NTM-A) serving as the Senior Advisor to the Information, Communications
and Technology (ICT) Directorate at the Afghanistan Ministry of Interior. Mr. VanBemmel is a recipient of
the Air Force Meritorious Civilian Service Award, multiple recipient of the Army Superior Civilian Service
Award, multiple recipient of the Army Commanders’ Civilian Service Award, Global War on Terrorism
Civilian Support Medal (Afghanistan Campaign), and the NATO non-Article 5 Medal.
