Technology has been part of Patrick’s life since his childhood in the United Kingdom. He always wanted to understand how things work and discover ways to make them better. Patrick began working in the information technology industry at the beginning of the internet revolution, and now has over three decades of experience driving innovation for some of the most well-known brands in the world. He’s witnessed the evolution of the modern enterprise and how the internet, software, and data have changed what people care about and why. Patrick is passionate about building strong engineering teams built on even stronger cultures. He believes in the power of psychological safety and recognizes that it is unique to find in engineering firms. He understands that culture compliments a company’s ability to innovate and without a culture built on open communication and collaboration, it’s impossible to truly excel. This focus on culture has allowed him to grow the practice of engineering at scale at WillowTree. In Patrick’s role as Chief Data & AI Officer at WillowTree, he leverages his passion for technology to solve complex problems by applying bold solutions powered by AI. He works with businesses to understand how they approach data to best design their systems architecture and inform where and how they invest in digital platforms. Patrick holds a Master’s in Engineering from the University of Cambridge and a Master’s in Computer Integrated Manufacturing from Cranfield University.
