April 14th, 2020

Summary

COVID-19 is spreading globally, affecting life in more than 200 countries. Our #pandemicEX research project aims to understand how employees are experiencing this. Forrester’s Q1 2020 European PandemicEX Survey revealed the employee experience of 204 German adults working part or full time during the COVID-19 crisis. German employees trust their government’s actions and have confidence in their employers’ financial health, with only 19% expressing concern about their company’s future and 21% being concerned about layoffs. German firms are struggling to align their tech strategies and processes, as 48% of German employees admit that they can’t do their job remotely. Despite this, many Germans are embracing working from home; just a third are eager to return to the office. German employees are starting to use new collaboration tools, with Skype in particular enjoying growing popularity and usage.
