Global mobile subscriptions have grown much faster than the population has. Forrester expects global smartphone penetration to reach 67% by 2024, from 56% in 2019.This forecast includes the global mobile and smartphone installed base and subscriber data across 52 countries, a breakdown of subscribers by operating system (2011 to 2019), and handset ownership by age demographics.
