Summary

US retail sales will continue to grow during the 2023 holiday season, despite reduced excess savings from the pandemic, increased interest rates, and the resumption of student loan payments. US total holiday retail sales growth will be lower than the previous three years but higher than the average in the pre-pandemic years from 2015 to 2019.
