Summary

Amway runs an extremely complex, global business including product development, manufacturing, marketing, and a unique and highly successful distribution system. This complexity means that Amway IT must serve a large and diverse workforce. When the company chose to invest in knowledge worker effectiveness, the challenge became: "How do we maximize adoption of new workplace tools and minimize transition costs?" With a collaboration portfolio of IBM Lotus Domino, Microsoft SharePoint, and Cisco Unified Communications, Amway pursued a multivendor Information Workplace strategy. To achieve its goal of a seamless, contextual user experience, Amway turned to harmon.ie by Mainsoft for critical integration between Lotus Notes 8.5 and SharePoint 2007.
