Forrester is seeing a renewed interest in business strategy development. As the economy slowly improves, business executives are showing signs of thinking about what is next for their companies. Interest in and hiring for business architecture is strong and growing. Business architects are clearly casting their role in a business light, even if it has a decidedly IT twist. Proven methodologies, common terminology, and replicable results still hinder business strategy development. Forrester believes that business architects have an opportunity to improve current strategy development and articulation methods by providing more structure to the process. But first they have to build credibility with the business.
