Service Providers Offer New Models To Address Emerging Buyer Needs For Cloud

Summary

Forrester recently interviewed leading services providers around their offerings built for XaaS technologies (i.e., software-as-a-service, platform-as-a-service, and testing-as-a-service). We also interviewed more than 40 client references using service providers for services related to XaaS deployments. While many firms use service providers for traditional implementations of leading cloud solutions like salesforce.com, Google Apps, or Workday, we also found that service providers are introducing new models to address emerging needs around multi-SaaS landscapes. These cloud "orchestration" models offer solutions that provide a single point of relationship across multiple cloud solutions and benefits such as integration, support, billing and provisioning, service-level agreement (SLA) management, and contract management.
