Why Read This Report

Most infrastructure and operations (I&O) managers are in the late planning stage or early deployment phase of their next-generation desktop. This long overdue transformation will introduce information workers to a new OS in Windows 7, productivity suite in Office 2010, and browser in Internet Explorer 8 (IE8) and increasingly Mozilla's Firefox 4. In this report, Forrester analyzes more than 400,000 client PCs to determine the latest corporate OS and browser trends. What did we find? Windows 7 has quickly become the standard for new hardware, and IE's corporate dominance is slowly eroding in favor of Firefox, Google's Chrome, and Apple's Safari.
