Summary

Enterprises of all sizes are interested in evaluating products for detecting and preventing the transmission and storage of PII, PHI and sensitive corporate secrets. By the end of 2010, Forrester expects that nearly one-third of enterprises will have piloted or deployed DLP. To help enterprises understand how the tools work and where their strengths lie, we recommend testing vendor products using scripted scenarios. To help with this process, we’ve put together a test script and sample data set that enterprises can use to direct vendor demonstrations. The script details 24 specific scenarios that exercise the full range of functions of DLP suites.
