Why Read This Report

As a leader in IT outsourcing, EDS has a strong track record in and history of delivering converged IT and telecom services to large enterprise clients. But while many of its outsourcing and telecom services competitors are actively pushing propositions around Converged Service Delivery (CSD) to the market, EDS remains remarkably quiet on this score. This seems unfortunate, given EDS's position among the forerunners in this emerging market. With the right moves, EDS can leverage its formidable strengths in service management and delivery to take advantage of the opportunities that come with industry change. The proposed merger with HP — another acknowledged CSD market leader — could significantly enhance EDS's CSD portfolio and underlying market position.
