The promise of mobile commerce was finally realized in 2013. Since then, retailers have intensified their investments and presence within the mobile space. As companies continue to refine their technologies, customer experience strategies, and user interfaces, mobile commerce is expected to grow steadily with the mobile generation. More than 80% of the American online population own a smartphone, and about two-fifths own a tablet.
